Twenty years ago this very day!

Post by Alexis »

I wonder who remembers what they were doing 20 years ago this very day! .scratch .scratch .scratch

I do know that our own Jack Kane - aka John, was up at 12.15 am 2004 putting his Health and Safety for Beginners Website LIVE on the Internet. .cheers

Now, 20 years on, John's nightly technical screening to ensure all our members are kept as secure as is possible and his continued dedication to this site and all HSfB Social Media platforms has never waned, nor has his commitment to ensure, "as far as is reasonably possible" that there is a place where both Safety Newbies and Safety Professionals can come together to assist each other in a friendly and non-judgemental manner, because John believes............

"There is no such thing as a "stupid" or "daft" health and safety question!"

Can we all wish John and ourselves a big HAPPY 20TH BIRTHDAY HSfB!!!!

:occasion4:

congrats

THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO HAS TRAVELLED THESE YEARS WITH US! clapclap clapclap clapclap clapclap

A HUGE SHOUT OUT TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF OUR AMAZING MODERATORS ALSO! THANK YOU!! clapclap clapclap .salut .salut .salut

Congratulations and thank you - without doubt the best and most knowledgeable and friendly bunch of safety professionals on any H&S forum I've come across. Thank you too Alexis - you should both be very proud of what has been created - crazy to think it is 20 years old.

I joined when the site was just 2 months old and never looked back, its been an incredible journey over those 20 years but would be lost without you and Jack (John).

There's been some characters over the years but its always been a site where people don't get criticised for asking a question and we have seen people grow from signing onto their first 1 days H&S awareness course to completing the Level 6 course.

We wouldn't be anything without the members so thank you all for making this site a family

20 years ago today I was still in the army and hadn't even started thinking about my NEBOSH Certificate.

I didn't join the forum for another 2 years (March 2006) but haven't looked back, it helped me with my NEBOSH Construction and Diploma as well as making 'virtual friends' throughout the last 18 years. .cheers

As has already been said, some great people on here and to quote Jack, there is no thing as a stupid question and the members are great at helping each other out.

Jack/Alexis you should be ever so proud of what you have achieved with this forum, (to compare it to Crufts (topical)Best in Class

Glad to say I have been on part of the journey of the forums/website and proud to say I am a Moderator of the same ./thumbsup..

As far as I remember I joined in about 2006/7 and have met some absolutely wonderful people from here in that time. Without doubt this has been one of the most important pieces of my life.
I thank both of you for your amazing support and friendship throughout the years and can’t believe it is almost 20 years ago. We were all just children back then and have grown into very mature adults.
Thanks to all who make this place a safe and happy place to be

The site is a credit to you both and the moderators that keep us in check from time to time.

I pop in most days to see what's occurring and the little nuggets of information I can learn!

Well done everyone for making it a welcome place to come!

Think i'm the "youngest" member to comment so far :)

By that reckoning, I must still be a trainee at 12 years.... ./thumbsup..
You are only a millimetre or a millisecond away from the next incident.
