Crazy PPE

Post by stephen1974 »

Whats the craziest piece off PPE you've seen pushed on people? Something you never thought you would see, has you scratching your head and saying "Why?"

I give you the "Hi Vis Kilt"

https://www.merlindirect.co.uk/hi-vis-c ... 0Vqy2UK22s

WHY ???

Theres nothing i can see necessarily wrong (ok, exposed legs maybe) and im not sure i want to be following someone up a ladder, but, what purpose is this supposed to serve? what need is met? that cant be achieved with trousers. Then I thought, do they have hi vis skirts for women, AND THEY DO.

I never ever thought to see such a thing.

We had gardeners wear gardening kilts (not hi-vis) as they felt it was better in Summer with more wind movement!

Not the same as this was a one-off rather than something to buy online but I did like this one: https://www.norfolklive.co.uk/news/norf ... gh-8839097

Oh I can absolutely see some disgruntled staff member refuse to wear high-vis trousers "because they only wear kilts / skirts"

This gives management the ammunition to call them out on their bluff.
We often think that when we have completed our study of one we know all about two, because 'two' is 'one and one.' We forget that we still have to make a study of 'and.'
