Have seen lots of adverts for these popping up all over the place reecently. Never seen one before.

Anyone have any experience of them? good? bad?

I like how in the video, it takes the professional two attempts to start it off by striking the lid against the stick. I can absolutely see that lid being dropped in the panic of dealing with a real fire.

That said, it does appear to work well and if you can just chuck it towards the fire and leave... then it's certainly lower risk than a traditional extinguisher. I'll keep an eye on it but otherwise remain cautious.
We often think that when we have completed our study of one we know all about two, because 'two' is 'one and one.' We forget that we still have to make a study of 'and.'

I am also sceptical.......but I can't really give a reasoned argument as to why 🙄

I definitely wouldn't use or recommend it until the BSI stop sitting on their hands and design a standard for this type of FFE

I have experience of installing video smoke detection (VSD) and a hypoxic fire prevention system prior to the BSI compiling a standard .

I was not a great idea as the VSD was a nightmare and an expensive mistake
