From AIM Qualifications and Assessment Website.

https://www.aim-group.org.uk/news/2022/ ... X_r3t7ST9A

Well......Yet again, now you see it-now you don't.

They posted a list of FAQ's for Students affected by the NCRQ scenario, but it has been noted, this no longer is live.

Hopefully some better news from them is in the offing.

UPDATE ON UPDATE: Link above is live again. ./thumbsup..

I'm so gutted by this. I had planned to have it all finished last year but life got in the way. I had only in the last couple of weeks started back studying, and now this.

I understand Ewan. It's the silence, as you say, that's the worst.

I suppose all the legalities is what's holding up further information for Students.

Nothing more so far today, but I am still hopeful AIMS will put something out there today or the 5th Nov.

I was doing the NRCQ Diploma. I was on the final module having completed the first two. Any idea on what basis might one be able to get a refund? I don't suppose I would get a refund for the two completed modules which I have received certificates for. But in reality, those certificates are really only of use to me in my quest to gain the Diploma.

I received this from Phoenix Health and Safety
Help For NCRQ Students

Thank you for submitting your details on our NCRQ Help Page. I am pleased to say that we are now able to give you an update on the situation.

If you haven’t already, it’s worth reading the FAQ’s that AIM (NCRQ’s Awarding Body) put together on 25th October. You can read these here.

NEBOSH also put out a statement on 31st October, which you can read on their website here. The statement confirms that NEBOSH are planning on mapping the NCRQ Diploma against their own NEBOSH National Diploma.

This means that if you’ve done most of your NCRQ Diploma studies, you may be exempt from studying parts of the NEBOSH National Diploma. You will still need to take the NEBOSH assessments to gain the National Diploma qualification.

What should I do now?

If you’ve completed at least one unit of the NCRQ Diploma then we recommend you sit tight. Once NEBOSH have completed their mapping exercise you may be able to avoid studying some of the NEBOSH National Diploma units and go straight into the assessments.

If you’re right at the beginning of your NCRQ studies, or haven’t started yet, then we recommend switching to either the NEBOSH National Diploma or NVQ Level 6 Diploma (you can read our blog post about the main difference between the two here).

When will NEBOSH complete the mapping exercise?

NEBOSH haven’t given timelines for this, but we’ll let you know as soon as they notify us that it’s been completed.

Can I get an exemption from any NEBOSH National Diploma Assessments?

No. NEBOSH have been clear that although they may exempt NCRQ students from studying some units, there won’t be any exemptions from assessments.

Can you help me finish my course / get a refund from NCRQ?

No. We’re a separate training organisation to NCRQ. We don’t have access to their training materials and we’re not able to arrange a refund for you. We are here to help NCRQ students find equivalent qualifications from other awarding bodies.

If you have any further questions about the courses we offer, please email uksales@phoenixhsc.co.uk and we’ll be happy to help.

Best wishes,

Hi Ader. Sadly, there are many in the same situation as yourself at the moment with no positiveness as to solutions.

With regards to refunds and criteria etc., this will be up to the Administrators I would think if monies had been paid for a full course which only part of had been fulfilled by NCRQ.

As far as refunds for a promised qualification? I have no idea what the law would be on that one! Too many complications involving various qualification bodies to even contemplate that can of worms!

Various training providers are trying to offer deals to Students caught up in this NCRQ/Hatten/IOSH/NEBOSH qualification carnage, but deals are all they can do at the moment. None of them know what the situation for Students is or will be at this present time.

We at HSfB are checking all avenues on the internet a number of times every day and if any further news is available, we will certainly post in here and on our Social Media Platforms.

Let's hope we will all hear something more positive this week Ader. .salut

With regards to NEBOSH Mapping, you can register your email address with them to contact you when they have more information.

UPDATE - 7TH NOVEMBER 2022

I am updating my own PERSONAL views on this sorry state of affairs after spending some considerable time looking at the ongoing NCRQ Administration scenario and business accounts along with Hatten online business accounts, plus other things that anyone can find on official Government sites.

For what it is worth, my thoughts are below as to what to do if you are a Student seeking any sort of refunds.

1 If you paid by Credit Card, then contact your CC Company as soon as possible. Ask them to make a chargeback claim. https://www.moneyhelper.org.uk/en/every ... ay-by-card

2 If you didn't pay by Credit Card, then go to your bank and ask how they may be able to help, again.....as soon as possible, as there may well be a time factor involved.

3 If your Bank cannot help, go to the following link and contact the Administrators within that link. https://www.thegazette.co.uk/notice/419 ... TGLuWKpaA0

4 If your organisation paid for your courses, then make sure they register. I think your organisation may just carry more weight than individuals.

5 Register as a Creditor if you personally have paid monies and are looking for refund.

I don't see anything happening anytime soon with this disaster simply by what I have found on the internet today. .pale

I am hoping NEBOSH will come up with their mapping suggestions much sooner than the time it may take for the courts to sit with this case. We are all aware of how far behind the courts are at the moment.

I have no explicit knowledge nor experience of this nor any other similar scenarios.
I am speaking for myself and not on behalf of HSfB.
Please do take note of my suggested 5 points above! You have nothing to lose and may just gain something from such a sad state of affairs.

We all want what is right and fair!

Ader, the short answer to both your questions are: Hatten has gone and if you read the other posts in this thread, you will find the only other information we have on how the Diploma may go forward.

UPDATE: 10th November 2022

This update posted in our FB Group page by Linda at SHE Knows Health and Safety. Thank you Linda.

"NCRQ update according to my research.
This week I have had C&G confirmation that learners can choose to carry on their learning by submitting their NCRQ assignments to be cross referenced with the C&G level 6 NVQ."

Hi thanks for this.

I already achieved my HSD1 and HSD2, I submitted my HSD3 for making when sadly NCRQ ended.
Can I ask if anyone has managed to transfer over to the C&G please, as I am in contact with them now ?
