Excavator operator certification

Post by Jonnie »

Dear all,

In the UK can a construction company certify its own operators on Excavators, JCBs, shovels telescopic lifts etc? I am aware of the benefits of using a third party training provider.

Thanks in advance

It would likely depend where the excavator was to be used and the requirements of the site.

Many sites will request CPCS (now NOCN) or NPORS. Smaller sites often accept manufacturer training. If it is suitable and sufficient and in line with national standards then why would it not be acceptable.
