Company that is based outside of UK - how do the worker's from overseas competency match up with UK H&S qualifications

Post by TWDB »

Hi All,
Does anyone know.....
Is there a minimum requirement we would require in terms of H&S from workers/ company coming from outside of the UK to work for their company on our site to have?

Is there a website or list that I can compare Overseas with UK competencies ? i.e SMSTS v's Overseas Equivalent? CPCS v's Overseas Equivalent?

or should we/ can we insist on a CSCS card as a minimum?

Regards

T
Update: taken a new job :D hopefully confidence and positivity will return with new challenge - scary though leaving current place after 16 years (6 years H&S !) :shock:

Hi T;

I don't think there is a list as such .scratch

You need a Driver CPC qualification to drive a lorry professionally in the UK, the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/driver-docu ... ad-haulage

May be worth contacting SMST and asking them directly.

CSCS - https://www.cscs.uk.com/applying-for-ca ... fications/
The light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off due to budget cuts..............
