Hi all
We have fairly large metal lift out car park posts that get pulled out several times a month to allow access for cars to certain areas, they are fairly smooth so not good to get a grip with and difficult to lift out with 2 people. I'm not sure of the weight of the posts but it is significant and can stick if debris go into the slot. I'm looking to see how people manage removal of these type of heavy duty posts on their sites?
They are similar to this but are removable (installed in a round lined hole to enable them to be pulled out)

I know you can purchase fence post lifters/pullers for removing old fence posts but these wont really work in this situation.
Long term they will be replaced with collapsible posts but that's not an option for now so need a solution to help staff remove the posts safely
Thanks

Morning Penfold
As it's a 'Quick Fix' you're looking for, how about fixing some suitable handles to the posts, to enable a better grip and leverage.
They may be 15 Kgs or so each, I can't imagine much more, but there will be the 'stickion' to overcome.
As people have presumably been lifting them regularly for years, it has hopefully not been a too significant issue.
If they are only being lifted out be specific staff, such as maintenance teams, you could simply have a hole drilled through them and provide the relevant teams with a lifting bar in each tool kit.
That would allow easy twisting and wiggling while lifting.
