I saw this job being advertised today by my old employer. It doesn't interest me now, but it may be of interest to somebody here as it sounds like an interesting new role
https://jobs.london-fire.gov.uk/jobs/fi ... t-frs00572
Its a job that links the findings of the fire investigation team following their attendance at incidents with fire safety teams to verify fire safety measures operated effectively and that the science that leads fire safety standards is correct in the real world . The LFB did this years ago - or tried to without enough resources being committed. Its looks like Grenfell has changed all of that
Anyway the role requires a level 3 fire safety certificate or equivalent?
Does anyone know what qualification or certificate would be acceptable/equivalent to a level 3 fire safety certificate??????
What is equivalent to a level 3 fire safety certificate???

Re: What is equivalent to a level 3 fire safety certificate???
I wasn't sure what todays equivalent would be until I checked on the Fire Service College website.
My 15-year old 2006 risk assessment FSAED3 certificate states: Fire safety advisor / Engineer development.
The 5-day course I attended is also available as a 3-day program for people with previous fire safety experience.
https://www.fireservicecollege.ac.uk/tr ... se?id=3542
The website states:
"FSC Certificate showing IFE Approval towards their Register of Fire Risk Assessors and Auditors"
I assume "FSC" is fire safety certificate, and I assume that both qualifications will be level-3 (as they were in 2006).

This course is a better candidate for the qualification required - it is listed specifically as: fire safety level-3, for fire safety auditors (similar to the job role)
