introduction
hey all, I'm baz and I've found myself on here through a military friend of mine,
so long story short - I did my NeBosh Gen open book in June and because I working in a CDM role I didn't have full concentration for the exam, I know I should have taken the day off but I thought I could handle it, I failed it and I really thought id put enough down to pass I was very confident.
so I now am on the next exam on August 4th and have been diverted to this site, I've been offered a once in a lifetime job but its dependant on me passing this time, any help would be absolutely brilliant, I've trawled the forum and found some really good stuff, the feedback of my last one was I apparently didn't put enough of there favorite words in that's why I failed, not through a lack of practical knowledge just favorite words.
appreciate your time and any help
Baz

Re: introduction
Hi Baz,
the NEBOSH General Cert is not an easy exam to pass, you really do need to absorb information from this course, I completed mine over 20 years ago and then I found it difficult to understand the questions properly, never a straight question given really.
This site has a study section which is very useful, you will find loads of info there to help you: viewforum.php?f=98
Not sure if you can still get hold of sample past exam papers, we could when I did mine, but these were only example questions, gave you an understanding of what to expect.
Take a look at this one I found on the Internet:

Re: introduction
Hi Guy's, as per user name name is Tony, I joined this Forum over a year ago but just getting around to introducing myself. Basically I've been in the Construction Industry for well over 30 years until 2 year ago as I'm currently working in the Security sector. I've been a HSQE Manager for many years now and Chartered with both IOSH and the CQI. I'm also a registered IOSH Mentor for people working towards becoming chartered so if anyone needs some help don't hesitate to ask.

Anything that keeps us on our toes is always welcome
We often think that when we have completed our study of one we know all about two, because 'two' is 'one and one.' We forget that we still have to make a study of 'and.'
