Incident accident

Post by EstherFT »

Hi,

According to the ILO CODE OF PRACTICE "Recording and notification of occupational accidents and diseases", definitions are the following;

Incident: An unsafe occurrence arising out of or in the course of work where no personal injury is caused, or where personal injury requires only first-aid treatment.

Occupational accident: An occurrence arising out of or in the course of work which results in:
(a) fatal occupational injury;
(b) non-fatal occupational injury.

So in an accident, the injury (not resulting in death) would be non-fatal but requiring more than first-aid treatment. Correct?
Thank you ../.
