Question for CDM experts please

Post by Ewangoil »

As a result of a recent fire risk assessment we carried out our client is needing to get some remedial work done on their building. The work will involve joiners, plumbers and electricians although each job relates to separate actions.
The work won't be notifiable as it won't meet the criteria for that.
My question is, will the client be required to appoint a principal designer and principal contractor as none of the work is directly related to each other? e.g. Can it be viewed as 3 separate projects and therefore each project will only involve a single contractor?

I hope that makes sense and someone can enlighten me

Thanks

No problem Ewan. I am sure someone will reply when they have a moment.
