I wore a facemask for around 13hrs yesterday and take my hat off to those from NHS & care workers to public transport and retail staff who now find themselves doing this daily.
I had a 250 mile return trip using 5 trains and 4 taxis which equated to nearly 8 hours travelling, only to find the premises I was auditing had a (frankly stupid) 'PPE Always' policy, even outside. I did manage a gasp of fresh air on train platforms and when waiting for a cab, but it was a truly grim experience
How those who have physical jobs manage is beyond me. I have just had breakfast on the patio and will be working from home writing a report and having 3 virtual meetings - again in the garden!!! A perfect antidote to yesterday's lack of air
Let's hope the worlds scientists come up with a vaccine as soon as possible and the worlds politicians play fair like nice children and share it without bickering

Indeed hats of to them!
Our packaging department are wearing masks for the extent of their shift as they cannot maintain social distance. I'm in their more this week so having to do the same.
Having a beard adds in some complications. Glad I don't need to wear glasses all the time!
Enjoy your day in the garden!

Re: Working Whilst Wearing a Mask
Over recent decades, I've developed a bit of a nasal restriction that doesn't usually bother me, but I have noticed while wearing a fabric facemask I do need to breath through my mouth more often as I can't easily cope with the nasal airway reduction plus the woven mask. I'm sure I'd be better if wearing a surgical mask.
I've got a beard, so that gives me some additional gaps around the face covering .
When I think back to the 70s and 80s when I'd be wearing one of these for hours without problem,....
...running around and just generally exerting myself whilst wearing this over the top of my other clothing.... Darn it, now my mind is drifting off to the 4 Yorkshiremen sketch....

That'd be telling....
So long ago we had painters instead of photographers.

3 x 13 hr shifts this week with mask on throughout. It's not comfortable, but necessary so carry on
