I think we are going home today and shutting the doors. The MD has been on conference calls all morning and another of our sites stood down yesterday.

Still here, I'm in the UK based in manufacturing, due to the clients we work with working from home is not an option.

All we are being told is if we go home then the business more than likely wont be here when we come back, which is scary to say the least

I've also been as I'm on probation even if I get sick I will only get paid SSP, I only started the role 3 weeks ago.

I'm still at work, making glass containers for the food industry.
Although bottles for gin, whisky and vodka does not seem to me to be essential.
According to the government, we are.
This may change soon.

All change.
I am now home and self isolating after an assessment by our occy health experts

Of course I am happy to isolate its sensible, but it has wobbled my own personal feelings of indestructibility (aka denial) . My new job description is 'vulnerable member of staff'

It seems I am not the Peter Pan of fire safety after all 😂🤔

I'm on day 3 of working from home with connectivity to the work systems via a new laptop. My partner is still at work. Works for a construction firm as a labourer refurbing portacabins. Apparently they do have an order for a batch of ones for the NHS so that may be why they are finishing the current ones and then will move onto NHS-related work.

I'm at work and working from home where I can though, being in a manufacturing organisation which supplies to the construction industry, we are still running.

Suppliers seem to be ok but customer sites are closing left, right and centre so I don't think it will be long before we close.

We've got some people told to self-isolate due to be at increased risk and some who are at home for childcare or having potentially been exposed. Luckily, nobody has any symptoms yet and we've added Agency cleaners on all shifts so that canteens, toilets and in-use offices are being cleaned every few hours (we work 24/5).

Still at work but struggling to understand why. The problem we have is that some of our biggest customers still want products developing, updating and manufactured despite the stores we would install into are all closed.
