Racking inspection training

Post by abarnett » Thu Nov 08, 2018 2:35 pm

Hi all,

Looking to get myself and a few others trained for in-house racking safety checks to do weekly and monthly checks between the main inspection done by the external contractor.

Anyone have any recommendations for training providers?

Thanks

Andy

Hi.
SESS.
You can also ask for a training regarding Racking maintenance.

Hi Andy,

I've looked at this in the past and ultimately decided we didnt have enough racking, most can be classed as shelving. So gave it some thought.

If you do have lots of high bay racking at risk from FLT's or VNA Trucks then I would ask your racking supplier for guidance and build a checklist for team leaders or supervisors to routinely check (weekly/monthly), then just get a once a year full inspection carried out by an external company. As per regs.

Just my twopence

Si

Hi all,

Thanks very much for this.
Have got a date booked in with SESS in January.
@Si - we have an external contractor for once a month... we wanted the ability to immediately assess any racking damage and undertake inspections with trained staff...

Cheers,

Andy

What you need Andy is an app that will let you carry out the inspections after you've had your training  ;)
