need help calculating Average Days Lost per Person & LTIFR for Q1

Post by JM_London » Fri Apr 13, 2018 4:50 pm

Hi
My boss wants the Average Days Lost per Person and the Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) for Q1. As ive never had to manually calculate this, ive researched it and gave my boss the figures and she says their wrong .scratch

My stats are
Number of staff 123 (jan) 121 (feb) and 123 (mar)
Lost time is 197 days for the quarter

I calculated the Average days lost per person to be 0.000123 and the LTIFR to be 0.538147139

Can someone please check these and let me know their thoughts - this is really urgent as need this by first thing Monday for my meeting

Thanks

Average lost time per person should be easy - total amount of employees days or hours worked over the quarter divided by the number of employees.

LTIFR depends on the system you follow - HSE or OSHA?

OSHA states that you multiply the amount of lost times cases x 200,000 and divide that by the total hours worked by all employees over the quarter.

Hope that makes sense?
