Re: Weds 6th March
Good morning HB and all that follow
HB - Congratulations on the funding
Weather - bit overcast but at least no frost and it is not pouring down with rain
Weight - no gym last night due to football (watching not playing! so i had enough exercise shivering
Work - had a great day yesterday, MD called me and my boss into his office and gave me free reign to get all of the resources we need to implement some of the plans we have. Risk assessment training for the line mangers is the first step so they can do the basics and then work with me to fine tune them. Not sure what today is going to bring, but it should be entertaining
Have a great day
Dave

Re: Weds 6th March
Morning HB & David and all who follow
Sounds like bosses are finding money left right and Chelsea as I have just been given a nice wee 3% pay rise and been told I am being kept on, as staff, so that's a weight off my mind.
Weather, damp and misty but no frost so heated grips were only set at 3/5 this morning
Work wise it is a bit of a tidy up and last day at school today (although will be on during the time off) as funeral tomorrow, booked Friday & Monday off and Conference on Tuesday.
Will look at doing something with Mrs Will over the weekend with it being Mothers Day and also our 24th Wedding anniversary.
Have a great day.

Re: Weds 6th March
Hi All
Foggy again this morning, though not as bad as yesterday.
Waiting for the scaffolders to arrive ahead of my Solar panel installation. Hopefully they'll turn up, since I've not actually had any contact with the scaffs; I've just been told by the solar panel company that they are coming this morning...
I'm busy rewriting the SOP for the Scouts Mobile Climbing Tower. Discovered this week that the instructions they have been using for 10 years for raising, lowering and generally towing it around are locally written and somehow a corruption of the manufacturer's instructions. Nothing dangerous, just stupid little things which make you think 'Why the heck are you doing it that way?' A lot of tidying up required.

Re: Weds 6th March
Thought I'd post some more, as my last was a bit short.
Welcome back Stew
Will - looks like things are working out OK for you.
Congratulations to HB and Dave for your respective funding appearing.
HB's is no doubt due to the usual end-of-year rush that always happens with Govt Depts. They scrimp all year to make the budget last, then realise that there is some left over, so have to spend it otherwise they can't get as much next year.
I remember being in at the very start of a new RAF flying training unit many years ago, and the Instructors were fly every possible hour they could, much more than they could possibly need to develop the course. So I asked one of them why they were causing us engineers so much work by flying so much for seemingly no reason and continually breaking the aircraft .
The answer was that the fuel allowance they would get once the courses actually started would be based on their fuel burn during the course development, not actually worked out on the number of flying hours the course consisted off!!
Dave - doesn't take a rocket scientist to realise why your MD is on board

Re: Weds 6th March
Good Morning All.
Congratulations HB. Excellent news about the funding, not the fire stuff.
Will - Excellent news for you too. happy anniversary when it arrives.
Stew - Welcome home! Lovely to see you back in the fold.
I must be getting a bit better this morning as I am not 'attached' to my mobile like my life depended upon it today. I even went down the garden to put the bin out without it.
A little bit of time in here this morning then take the day as it comes.
Have a great day folks.
Weather just dull, which is fine.
