Files updated. It would be really helpful if people could try this again, it really is worth it. :D

Instructions

First download the files to a suitable folder on your pc using the link in the very first post of this topic.

Create a folder for your quiz, I usually use the desktop so I know where to find things.

Double click the Quiz.zip file and unzip the files to your new quiz folder.

You will see a file called pngsetup.exe within the new folder, double click it.

It will then prompt you to install to drive C:\, click ok (or change the letter of the drive to suit your own needs, i.e. D:\ or whatever. (You can't define a destination folder for the pngsetup.exe file - it has to be a drive. However, once it is unpacked you can then move it using drag and drop to wherever you want to).

Once that is done, navigate to the new folder on the drive where you installed the file to and double click the presentation - CDMSWorcv230106GoodBasis.

Hopefully that should work, if not please post in here what happens.

:D

Hi All

Just tried to install the new thang but it cam up with the following error.

Unable to read pres0.ppz. Make sure that the file exists and you have read permissions for it.

I have changed the permissions on the pngsetup.exe and the directory i want it installed to and have run a RSoP on it and it is all good. Is it possible that the .ppz file has been stripped out again?

Just to keep people updated. This is a PowerPoint Presentation (Show) .pps with an animation linked or embedded into it. As you can tell there have been some teething problems.
i.e. I am gnashing my teeth trying to get it to work on any PCs other than ours here at work or mine at home!
Mr Toes has been doing some beta testing and development work - Many thanks Dave. So watch this space.
The final result should be an interactive quiz with test results and a related animation all in one package.
My thanks to everyone who has tried it.
For the original idea please refer to the book Powerful Powerpoint for Educators by David M Marcovitz.
Kind regards
Bernard

Jules, As far as I know Powerpoint and Flash will. So theoretically yes. but my knowledge of MACS is very limited - (Would you like fries with that? )
With the proviso that at the moment it won't run on any PC other than ones I have personally threatened!

I'll test it out for you on my MAC when it's ready then ;)

Don't despair - I'm sure it'll be all the better for all the tweaking!
