Building Safety Management

Post by Mercy Adeniji »

Dear HSfB Members,

Save your Wednesday morning next week (22nd May,11am) for our latest webinar on Building Safety Management click here to register.

After the Grenfell Tower fire and the subsequent “Independent Review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety” led by Dame Judith Hackitt, new legislation, new regulatory bodies, new systems/processes and new responsibilities have all been introduced. Although the primary focus is on safety in “higher-risk buildings”, the new regime will also have implications across the wider built environment.:homework:

With both new and existing duty-holder functions having legal responsibilities under the new regime, it is important that those who may be liable for these duties know and understand them.

Key takeaways:
New building safety regime as it applies to all relevant buildings within scope
Role and responsibilities of the Accountable Person/Principle Accountable Person under the Building Safety Act 2022
Role and responsibilities of the client as required in the amended Building Regulations 2010
Revised responsibilities of the Responsible Person for fire safety as contained in the relevant new and amended fire safety legislation. ../.
