Came across a sign yesterday that read
If warning light is on uncoded entry
If warning light is off adopt code 1 entry procedure
Blue and white sign with an exclamation mark at the top above the writting.
It was on a sewage pumping station. Ive never seen it before and a colleague who has been in the industry for 15+ years has never seen it either.
Whats this?

Re: Whats this?
Is it anything to do with build up of gases within a space and restricting entry when such an atmosphere exists ?
Just a guess -

Re: Whats this?
Its exactly that, the problem is no one knows what it means. No one has seen one before. No one knows of any 'codes of entry', It doesnt even make that much sense when you read it. Why would you have an entry procedure when there is no alrm but not one for when there is an alarm.

Re: Whats this?
Any chance you could share a photograph? i have a colleague who worked in water utilities and he might just be old enough to tell us!
I'll only tell him that we're using him for his age after I've shown him not before!

So when the whole world is safe..............what are we going to do then?
