Hi guys ,
Do you know if you can use a scissor lift to access a location (top of shipping container unit or similar) and exit the platform area to work? - i cannot see any scissor lifts with an access gate from the platform? use of a fall arrest and lanyard with rescue plan will be in place.
are you allowed to exit the gaured area in a safe manner if clipped on and stepping on to a / up to a flat platform?
Thanks
T

Reading this and other information it seems historically you should not leave the platform, - but now this can be possible if risk assessedTWDB wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 5:36 pmThanks P,Penfold wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 4:32 pm Hi TWDB

do scissor lifts have a gated guard rail on the platform which can allow access out ? i assume not ? but can i allow my guys to climb over? using a hop up in the platform?
Thanks T

It's a tricky one, yes but only after a rigorous risk assessment has been conducted....
