Risk factors - work long hours

Post by Blackstone »

Hi all,

Wanted to get some thoughts on the risk factors involved in working long hours to make sure I’m covering all bases.
Shifts 11-12 hours days and night. Could be extra hours or extra days or nights.

Work involves factory packing lines involving line operation and warehousing with FLT use.

Currently got on my list:
Fatigue/tiredness - higher risk of incorrect operating machinery, lines and FLT’s.
Commuting while tired - extra hours/shifts causing higher chance of RTA.
Increased risk Staff violence or abuse due to tiredness and fatigue.

Any other pointers welcome!

Stress - for not having a life outside of work, for always feeling tired, for feeling at risk when commuting tired.
