Employee Assistance Programmes

Post by Safetyfirst25 »

Hi,

I'm looking at potentially replacing the existing Employee Assistance Programme used in my organisation with a new one. There are a number of reasons for this but one of them is that all the literature provided by the current provider is geared towards office environments. As a business in the construction sector I wondered if anyone could recommend any EAPs around which are geared towards the the construction industry?

Any advice would be much appreciated. Many thanks.

I guess the first question is, what is an Employee Assistance Programme? .scratch

Probably just a different name for something else i've heard of. :)

Hi,

Employee Assistance Programme is a benefit funded by the company which provides employees with confidential advice and counselling on different areas both personal and work - for example, mental wellbeing, stress, anxiety, depression, debt counselling, psychological/emotional issues, workplace pressure, etc. We have a current provider but are having some issues with it so are looking to move to another supplier but thought it would be good if we could find one that does a lot in the construction sector as all the promotional materials they provide us with now are geared to office environments and, as we're in the construction sector, we want to try and encourage it's use and thought if we could find a provider who is more involved in this sector it would be beneficial.

Many thanks.

Ah ok, that makes sense. Not something i've seen or heard of.
Not something i can help with but i've certainly learnt something today.

Hopefully someone will come back.

Not sure if it's what you're looking for but have you tried contacting construction industry helpline?
