Hi all,
Just a quick question, does Public Health England, HSE and UK Government guidance over rule the World Health Organization?
It's confusing that WHO guidance is 1 metre social distance but PHE, HSE and Government guidance is 2 metres.
My thought was PHE, HSE and Government guidance overrules WHO, is this correct?
Covid-19 Social Distancing...1 or 2 metre..

But see also the government guidance to different businesses where 2m physical distancing may not be possible all the time, thus compensatory controls are 'to be considered' as they say.
Like many things, 2m was plucked out of the air as it is an easy number, the science is unclear.
In the end, it's a risk-based approach. I presume my local council has a good reason to have three workers sit shoulder to shoulder in the refuse truck cab as I saw today.
