The position
A fantastic and exciting opportunity has recently arisen to join a well-established consultancy business as a SHEQ Consultant. Although the role is very much field base, the role is very much part of a team as you become part of our clients team as well as our team, with constant communication joint working and challenge sharing.
Although the head office is Wrexham, North Wales, the role is field based and 70% of the work is currently completed within the North East Wales/North West England area, however we do operate across the UK.
We are passionate about getting the right candidate, someone who is dedicated and self-motivated. We are open to full or part time applicants.
You will be required to:
- Engage with clients and their teams to ensure you understand them.
- Bring energy to the subject of Health & Safety so that it is lived and breathed.
- Visit client sites to survey and advise on their health and safety standards
- Complete in-depth audits, inspections and risk assessments
- Prepare manuals, handbooks and inspection reports
- Offer advice and guidance as required
- Build rapport to ensure strong business relationships are developed
- Deliver training sessions
- Completing Health and Safety inductions
- Providing on-site Health and Safety support
- Ensuring all works carried out comply with H&S legislation
- Keeping accurate Health & Safety Records
The Person

The minimum requirements are:
- Current or recent experience of working in a Health and Safety based position (ideally as a consultant)
- Experience in completing inspections, audits, accreditations and risk assessments
- Ideally you will have experience within either Construction, Manufacturing or engineering
- Excellent communication skills
- Minimum Nebosh Certificate, Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum TechIOSH but GradIOSH working towards CMIOSH preferred.
- Full Driving License
- Own Car
- IT skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with briefings/presentations
