What client management software do you recommend?

Post by Ewangoil »

We're a small company with 3 employees. We have approx 100 clients on our books. i'm looking at software ideas for client management. Basically somewhere we can go to track progress of projects we're working on, see what jobs clients are waiting on, track annual reviews etc etc. Does anyone know of or already use anything like this. As we're getting busier, it's becoming more and more time consuming for the boss to keep track of where everyones at. I hope you can give me some suggestions.

Thanks

maybe salesforce or something similar would meet your needs so long as the client records are kept up to date.

You could probably put something together using a simple database or even a spreadsheet if you are feeling creative.
If it isn't broken, that doesn't mean you can't improve it. (Do three negatives make a positive ?)

The initial plan was something in excel but i was interested to see what others use and whether there was anything ready made out there. I'll have a look at salesforce though. Thanks

Hey,

I highly recommend Trello, for anything project-based, it is a board-based system with loads of add ons, this can be shared across lots of people and can be updated with notes, then once the project is complete it can be archived.

Some of the best features are you can add checklists, comments, due date and attachments of all kinds, you can also add Gantt charts for time management and daily updates

Its also cross-platform and can be updated on most devices and super easy to learn how to use, I picked it up in about half an hour.

And the best part...ITS FREE!!!!

Just to update anyone who is interested. We have ended up going with Todoist business. So far so good. Every client is a "project", every job for that client is a "task". We can assign a task to a specific person, give each task a priority and/or add a due date, set tasks to be recurring (monthly, annually etc.). We can link emails to and files to clients. You can also set daily goals, ie. complete 5 tasks per day and it lists your tasks in order of priority or due date so at a glance we can see what needs done and for who.
