I bought a bike! With an engine! It is red!

Post by Jack Kane »

I've been mulling this over for many years, will I get a motorbike or won't I? Finally agreed with myself and did my CBT today. It started at 9am, I had bought my first bike by 9.05am

After driving a car all these years thinking I was one of the better drivers who look properly for bikes...my car driving will change from now on that's for sure! I think I was learning how to drive a car as well as a bike today

However, wooohooooooo :D :D :D

I pick up my wee red beastie on Saturday :D

Awesome, i did mine a feyyears ago after many years of trying to decide whether to do it or not. Are you going to do your theory test and practical test for a "big bike" ?

Sweet

I have both bike and car (Bike is a GSXR 1000). Love taking the bike to work but more often than not it is not practical due to normally carrying a CAT & Gene, measuring wheel etc etc :(

So my bike is mostly for fun now, rather than commuting etc, although previously I did a full year through wind, rain and snow - Dumfries to Carlisle (35 miles) daily which was great, although had to get heated grips for the winter ;)

Biking opens up your thought process when on the road (thats for sure) ./thumbsup..

congrats

Well done! ./thumbsup..

Can I just mention, that he made sure he considered my feelings and his Wife's by spending time explaining to us why we need not be worried about him driving on a two-wheeled mode of transport, which is just what he does......makes sure others aren't affected by his personal actions.

Enjoy. bighug

I did wonder but was sure he would have consulted with the right people before making his decision.

My dad always said I couldn't have a motor bike because I'd have to be 100% fit

He also added he'd break both my legs if I ever bought one

So I settled for 4 wheels and doors :D

I have just ordered a new bike, collect 18 October 2019 (When I am home next)

A lot different than what I have had before, sporty without actually being a sports bike.

Mine is done in chrome:

How's the shiny new bike Will? :D

I managed to fail my mod 1 test today, foot down doing the figure of 8. Other than that, a no fault test.

On the plus side, I spent the morning on a big bike with an instructor. :D

Booked in for another test.

Can't wait, I want to get my hands on this...
