A Few Good (Safety) Men
A parody of A Few Good Men, sent to me by a colleague...
Here is a recent discussion between a safety advisor and a construction manager after a non compliance issue was reported.

Safety Advisor *You want answers?
Site Manager *I want the truth!
Safety Advisor *You can’t handle the truth!

Safety Advisor; Son, we live in a world that needs safety, and that safety has to be enforced by safety conscious people. Whose gonna do it? You! I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You hate the audits, and you curse the safety department. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know; that while safety is an attitude, it saves lives, and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don’t want the truth because you know there are things you don’t talk about at weekly safety meetings, you want me on your worksite, you need me on your worksite. We use words like Attitude, Behaviour and Safety. We use these words as the backbone for a life spent protecting people. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time, nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the very protection that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went go your way, otherwise, I suggest you pick up a hazard book, and control a risk to stop an incident. Either way, I don’t give a darn what you think you are entitled to.
Site Manager *did you file the non compliance
Safety Advisor *You’re darn right I did

It is better to be careful 100 times than to get killed once.

That is bloomin' fantastic
Really, really have an overwhelming urge to write it up into an official 'looking' poster and stick it on the H&S notice board

Re: A Few Good (Safety) Men
I do like that! I may have to blatantly plagiarise that in the very near future!
So when the whole world is safe..............what are we going to do then?
