Just thinking about starting this course soon.

What way does the practical work, do they pick a location and come out and follow you around as you do you're inspection?

please don't take this the wrong way, but this qualification is a Level 6, that's the equivalent of a Degree (and yes, you do get the chance to walk across a stage, in robes, once you pass), which means you have to do a lot of hard work, including research, to get anywhere near a chance of passing. You can kiss goodbye to a social life (or even seeing much of the family), if like many of us you attempt to complete it in under 18 months.

So, being cold hearted and matter-of-fact about this, ask yourself if you are ready for such an experience. The information you seek is all there on the NEBOSH site; if you haven't realised this, or haven't found it, are you ready to undertake the Diploma and all that it involves?

Now I'll be kind to you and give you a link to the area you need to answer your question...

Hi all,

I need some help in writing my report for my practical NGC3 at the moment the report without recommendations is at 2,250 words and I am sure that this is way too much, but the tutor states it is fine.

Can anyone help guide me on this?

Thanks in advance

Datxman

Firstly welcome along glad to have you aboard, secondly Im sure you are aware that NEBOSH have a limit set(loosely) at bet 750-1500 words. This is qualified by stating that as long as the report is not too long winded and the assessor does not get too bored you should be ok. If your provider is saying it ok I would go with that as its them who mark it.

Re: My practice at a Practical report, incl feedback (REVISO

Post by Nikop »

Hi everyone

I am currently preparing my practical report.
I came across all sorts of advise and even in the official NEBOSH guidance document for NGC3, it is not clear if under the Main Findings section of the report, we are supposed to only present one or two high risks we observed under each category (Fire, Manual Handling Work at heights, movement of vehicles etc...); or present a synthesis of all of the observations we made in the observation sheets.

anyone can help on this?

Thank you very much :)

Hi Nikop

I would go in detail with 4,6 observations which pose the greatest danger/ failings, also try to include 1, 2 good observations also (included in the 4, 6 obs).

I am trying to get a hold of the marking scheme for you but finding it difficult - it is available i am sure on the NEBOSH site. .scratch
Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

A big thank you to all the members here at HSfB.

Hi Nikop.

To add to Nick's reply, you will find the marks awarded at the foot of your NEBOSH Guidance. Also, have a look at this past post and Otto's reply. He was an Examiner, so knows. ;) viewtopic.php?f=2&t=32729" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
