I'm so pleased to read that our Leg End is on the mend. I miss being cuffed 'round the ear by her :)
Get well soon Alexis ...I promise I won't use too many rude words while you're away ;)

I gather the H&S issue about flowers for patients isn't so much to do with bacteria but to the fact that people were knocking vases over, making a slip hazard from the water or that patients were dropping glass vases with them smashing and showering glass all over the place - valuable (and expensive) caring time was taken up with endless floor cleaning and then there's the disposal of dead flowers. Probably best to stick with a punnet of fruit (which hides the whisky miniatures)

Brilliant news! .bounce .bounce

I'd just caution that if her discharge time depends on a Consultant signing something, they're not always the best timekeepers; especially if they are also on the operating theatre schedule.

So just don't count your chickens* until she comes out the exit doors ;) Then throw the party ./thumbsup..

I'll be 'round for my tea about 1/4 past then. Tell her not to cook me much as I'll have had a burger when I get off the bus :)

Great news that our Leg End is coming out ...at her age

Jack, I know you've been letting her know what we've all been saying about her on this forum so hopefully she'll now know that we all care for her like she cares for all of us. She's a lovely lady who, I'm sure, will be up to her fighting best pretty soon. Please send her my very, very best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.
