Hi spike9208

I haven't done either (yet?)

But if you have a look at the IEMA website, here: http://www.iema.net/membership/individu ... /faq#faq22" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If I obtain a NEBOSH Specialist Diploma in Environmental Management will this qualification be accepted as an aceptable route for associate membership?

The NEBOSH Specialist Diploma is now recognised by IEMA as an acceptable route for gaining Associate Membership. In order to be elligible candidates diplomas should be dated from 1st January 2008 onwards.
The IEMA Associate Certificate Course syllabus is available to download on this page: http://www.iema.net/training/delegates/trngforassociate" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The IEMA Diploma in Sustainable Business Practice: details available here:
http://www.iema.net/training/delegates/iemadiploma" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Info about the NEBOSH National Certificate for Environmental Management is here:
http://www.nebosh.org.uk/qualifications ... f=467&ct=2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
And the NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management is here:
http://www.nebosh.org.uk/qualifications ... ef=74&ct=2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There is an overview of membership paths for IEMA here@ http://www.iema.net/membership/individual" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and the "how to" upgrade your membership is here: http://www.iema.net/membership/upgrade" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
IEMA have a "Membership Planner" which starts here: http://www.iema.net/membership/memberplanner" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and should show the route/qualifications you can take

Hope that helps :wave:

The NEBOSH Diploma is interesting. I took mine before IEMA recognized it, it has helped with employment as most advisers are now HSE or SHE.

Don't know if they are the same level but I took the NEBOSH certificate and I have been told it is not recognised as an acceptable qualification for associate level in IEMA.
