Hi,

I am currently studying environmental health and one of the topics i have been given is Health Inequalities. I am trying to get my head round the topic and i need some help. What i do know is health inequalities is a very broad area and i have narrowed down the area to the basics. I am not asking anyone to do write an essay for me just general ideas and opinions on health inequalities, i have done my research but im still a little unsure.

What are health inequalities?

What evidence is avialable that health inequalities exist?

Health Inequalities is a comprehensive volume of analysis and commentary which presents a picture of current patterns and recent trends in ill health and death by measures of socio-economic status.

Carry out a search on Google, there are lots of information on the subject. .salut

In broad NHS terms I think it's commonly referred to as a 'Postcode Lottery' :)

To add to Peter 111's list don't forget religious beliefs.
