Need an environmental course provider in Scotland

Post by Johno388 » Mon Oct 18, 2010 11:18 pm

Exactly what it says on the tin guys, I have 5 months until I get out of the army and want to do either the Nebosh certificate or basic IEMA course as part of my resettlement process.

Also would like info on NCC if possible.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Hi Johno

And welcome :wave:

NEBOSH - where to find a course/course provider here:
http://www.nebosh.org.uk/studying/defau ... ref=3&ct=2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

IEMA - approved training providers can use the symbol you can see here:
http://www.iema.net/training" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
IEMA Training Courses (types): http://www.iema.net/training/delegates" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
IEMA Training Providers: http://www.iema.net/training/training_providers" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
There is a downloadable PDF with the full list

Hey Johno,

Welcome to the forums :D :wave:

Do you have a particular career goal, i.e. to work in construction or environmental?

If you aren't sure, then maybe a NEBOSH general cert would be the best all round option for you until you decide on which are you want to specialise in. If any.

I've not done the construction cert or the IEMA courses, but plenty of others in here have.

All the best for what route you go.

Jack, I've already got my General Certificate and am looking to widen my field a little more before specialising if required.

Helen, thanks for the links. I'll have a look and see what I can find.

Johno

I'm doing my general through Carnegie College in Dunfermline, no guarantees but they might be able to help you. There was nothing in the Dundee\ Perth \ rest of Fife on the H&S side on a day release basis, only block courses.

(Edited with apologies to Paul :oops: ;) )
