Hi Pete. Great to see you again. Hope all is well with you.

Go to our Search function at the top right hand corner of this page and key in - motor vehicle workshop - There are a lot of past posts, but not sure if specifically what you are after.

Worth a wee look until hopefully someone comes in with an example. (Thank you anyone who can help.) .salut

I adapted an Iauditor sheet for each one of my workshops.

All depends on what level of audit you are doing really.

Are you checking eveything ?

in addition to the normal checks you will need to add on stuff like Loler and Puwer related through inspections for ramps , jacks , beams , compressors , Jigs etc . COSHH inspections for LEV for exhaust and spray booth equipment. Occupational health upto date for dermatitis , urine checks / breathing checks for bodyshop staff.
PPE checks inc breathing apparatus, Noise levels , HAVS .... the list goes on , you really are going to need to apply a pretty unique template per workshop imo.

Is there MOT testing ? if so , is there safe access to the viewing area ? remember a 30 year old workshop (or newer come to that) wont have been built / designed with H&S in mind.

I would download an iauditor template as a starting block and adapt it to your scenario personally, its a bit of a pain but at least you have it tailored to your needs.
