CHAS for newly formed company?

Post by CMO »

Hi all

Can anyone tell me if a newly formed company can get a CHAS accredatiom?
They may have no history to show but all templates can be put in place for the future projects. Small builders work ?
Thanks for your help in advance.

Yes its fairly straightforward. I have assisted a few new start companies with their SSIP. Is it specifically CHAS you need or could it be Safe Contractor/SMAS/Acclaim?

Depending on the assessor you get they may ask for some working evidence that the safety systems are being implemented. After all, it is a competency based on evidence.

I have had many assessors request additional information on certain parts even though evidence has been supplied. Point to note also, assessor will more than likely not accept blank, incomplete or generic documents. If they do and the submission is audited and found falling short of the standards laid out in Appendix 2 the Certification can be revoked.

Cheers
