Fire resistant glazing test device

Post by witsd »

Can anyone point me towards one of the above?

I'm informed that there's some kind of light-based test meter that can give an idea as to what kind of glass a particular pane consists of, but I'm struggling to find anything of the sort online...

Also, does anyone have any experience with these devices (if they are proven to exist!)?
We often think that when we have completed our study of one we know all about two, because 'two' is 'one and one.' We forget that we still have to make a study of 'and.'

I have never heard of a FR glazing meter, but I would also be interested in one if they exist

As Illustrated in the specifications tab, the Plus version comes with extended functionality like a measuring range of 100mm which doubles that of the basic GlassBuddy and measures glass options that the basic doesn't provide which include;
*Monolithic multi-laminated glass for fire protection (multi-lam-fire).
*1 gap IG with multi-laminated glass (IG-2-multi-lam).
*Monolithic multi-laminated glass for fire protection (multi-lam-fire).

I do believe you've done it!

Hefty price though - will see if they want to splash the cash...
