Re: Huge fire at Grenfell Tower block
If there was ever an icon that demonstrated the sheer scale of this tragic incident, it was the huge tented village constructed to extend Westminster Coroner's Court &
over an adjacent taxi rank.
I believe the huge temporary exhibition type structure acted as a mortuary and exhibit store. There was also a private area where taxis could pull in away from the media so relatives could attend in peace.
The temporary extension is just visable on Google Street view
The entire Coroners Court was dedicated to the Grenfell fire and a second temporary court was established a couple of miles away for business as usual work
Today - over six months after the fire - the structures and associated security fence and infrastructure have been dismantled.
I hope to God this particular impressive contingency plan is never needed again

I hope that they actually get to the root cause. Which is clear to anybody in the building industry.
I fear, however that the truth is just too inconvenient and that it will be dragged down the Left vs Right, poor vs rich, immigrant vs non-immigrant route. Which clearly has NOTHING to do with this tragedy.
I also hope that those that had a hand in signing this spend a long long time in prison. I doubt anybody will however. This stinks from start to finish and it will be impossible to put it down to one thing.

Education is the key. A manager should always stand by their team. They employed them.

Re: Huge fire at Grenfell Tower block
Yup I saw that one earlier - took just 90 minutes for the building to collapse due to the fire. Sounds like the blame game has already started from what I read in the report. So far only one confirmed dead which will be miraculous if that remains the case http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-43960778 Scary footage and all too reminiscent of what we witnessed on our own shores not too long ago.

Re: Huge fire at Grenfell Tower block
BBC's Panarama tonight at 8pm are making allegations that Cellotex tested a fire resistant material to get a certificate, and then misold customers a more combustible version
I hope to God that's not true as someone should swing
