Spel checka

Post by Rochelle »

I know this being lazy but is there anyway a spell checker could be incorporated when you either start a post or reply to one.
On another H&S forum discussion page they have added this but I think there was a lot of debate about people's spelling rather than the content of the post. ;)

Cheers

I have three tool bars at the top of the page with bookmarks, autolinks, spellcheck, settings etc.

Maybe you don't have them. Sorry.

I use the Google toolbar if I want to do any spell checking.

I think there are forum modifications for a spell checker, but Rochelle, you hit the nail on the head with the content of the post being more important than a quickly written post with a few spelling mistooks.

I personnally don't bother about spelling mistakes in other people's posts, but some people do. Some people bother if they make spelling mistakes themselves, but if somebody is that bothered, they can always use Word or something to draft their posts.

I am an excellent speller - I'm just a lousy typist !!

I'm left handed, and sometimes my left hand is quicker than the right so I type out "nca or dna" instead of "can or and".

God help me if I ever try to use more than one finger on each hand !

My speed is fifty words a minute - twenty of which may be understandable.

I need to always remember to re-read posts before submitting them as well.

Our IT department aren't too keen on the white Tippex on my screen where I CAREFULLY erase my spelling mistakes - can't think why ????

And... the Tippex is no good, the errors are all still there on the post when you get it.... ???

Must be doing something wrong , maybe??

Have a good weekend, everyone!
