Facebook Group

Post by CAD » Wed Jun 12, 2019 2:49 pm

Hi,

Really like the new Facebook group and good way of quickly sharing thoughts

However, my family pointed out yesterday that that they could see all my comments I had made in the group and I was under the impression it was a closed group. Now it's not an issue for me as I am not putting on anything I want to hide etc. however just wanted to check if it was your intention to have it private just in case it hasn't worked and other people get caught out or whether it is a public group.

Obviously, If it was intended as a public group then I've just got the wrong end of the stick and apologise :D

Hi CAD. Many thanks for your comments on the new FB Group. As you know, we always appreciate all and any comments and suggestions regarding any of our HSfB Platforms.

Jack is the man who can provide a definitive answer to your query to which I know he will certainly do as soon as he can.

Thank you again CAD.

I've had this question a couple of times now and I've looked into it a bit more. It seems the best option is to have it a closed group and not a public group.

I've set the group to closed now, which means anyone can find the group and see who runs it. Only members can see who's in it and what they post.

It gives a certain amount of assurance for people that all their posts won't be visible on their own timeline or elsewhere for everybody to see.

Thanks for the feedback CAD :D ./thumbsup..

Thanks for the responses.

I wasn't suggesting you "should" change the page, just that I didn't want anyone else getting caught out like I did.

For the record, I do think people will be a little more relaxed when it comes to giving advise if it is a closed group.

I do think that the Facebook page is/will be more active than the forum here but that's the nature of social media I guess.

Thanks again and keep up the good work!
