I'm doing NGC which also does the NGC1 (the same as the NCC)
Have you started yet? How are you getting on if you have?

Re: Is anyone.....
afternoon NGC,
I am finding revision a lot easier this time around, I remember when I studied my NGC and was not working in full time H&S it was difficult to get my head around the syllabus. however this time with both courses (FC & CC ) I do find it very useful to be able to draw on past experiences and previous ACOPs which I have read within my job role and apply that into my study.
also I think having a genuine interest in the H&S sector does help.( study does not feel like a chore)
kind regards
Gav

Re: Is anyone.....
Hi guys, good to see others in the same boat!
I have the NGC so luckily dont need to sit the first paper but I'm going for the NCC1 in June. (E-learning)
Arkwardly, im on holiday exam day so I'm battling to find an exam venue or anything in North Wales and save myself an 380 mile round trip!
I work in Construction as a site manager so practically have an ok understanding, just got to get to grips with Neboshese again it can catch out the best if you dont read the question

afternoon rob, I am sitting in September I think, ( did fire on the 1st June) a couple of questions,
how did you find the paper, what were the question like, who much study did you put into it. the revision guide I have states 97hours,just wondering if that is the norm or did you have a difference timescale.
kind regards
gav

Re: Is anyone.....
Hi Gav,
I found it 'ok' didnt turn the paper over and feel immediate dread! There was one on my weakest area regarding different types of radiation grrrrr. But the remainder were reasonable i thought. There wasn't much in the way of cdm related questions which i was really banking on. Confined space and rescue plans, ladder safety, working near powerlines, keeping drivers safe etc etc. Obviously these will change for September Im wondering if i should get booked in for sept incase i fail
Study wise, i did mine self study and can't recall the hours I've put in. I really wouldn't worry about target hours.
I have some useful study materials if you want to pm me if you atr interested.
