I know I only got results by being a complete pest to every medical person in the equation.

Well it has been a while since I heard anything from the quacks as regards my foot............appointment at the foot clinic last night has turned up that my toe has a form of aggressive arthritis, this has now totally worn my cartiledge away and have only 10-15% movement left in it..........

Next is an operation to 'fuse' my toe joint together!!! .pale 6-8 weeks off of work..........yikes. Apparently the technical name for it is Hallux Rigidus !

However I will wait till spring for this as far to busy this side of crimbo and have Oz in Feb.........

Oh Mel!!!!!!! That's awful! I hope your operation will help, which I am sure it will, although I haven't ever heard of this.

You enjoy yourself until the Spring, which is a good time to have the operation coming into the summer for your recovery. ./thumbsup..

Be careful with your foot Mel. bighug bighug

Isn't it amazing what they can do? Painfree is the most important thing. We humans (in your case carrots) can withstand a lot of things but pain wears us down more than anything I think.

Ask them to put a nice diamond inset into it to go with your unique style. ;) ;)

Take care Mel. It must be awful for you. bighug bighug

All the best with this Mel, to be honest the Hallux Rigidus sounded more like a harry Potter spell than an operation but I hope whatever they can do will make it as pain free as possible!
So when the whole world is safe..............what are we going to do then?

ha ha thanks both and yes Alexis, definitely the best route !! even been in for a pre op assessment to check Iam fit and healthy and don't carry MRSA (I don't by the way lol)

And yes Keith it does sound like a daft spell.........I will be so glad to get this over and done with and be pain free (in my right foot anyhow!) however - shaving my toe bone is going to be a lot less fun than a daft spell .pale
