Hypothetically, if our business abuse tests an EV battery pack for thermal runaway, can the toxic fumes be released into the atmosphere, also the burnt battery packs what is the safe and environmental ways of storage ?

Is the fact that my management states they did not riskasses the tests including employee H$S until 3 years after the testing started.
