Question about licences

Post by Dodds »

Hi all.

We have a company who collect our waste (we are based in Scotland) and take it back to England. Do they need a SEPA licence for collecting waste from here even though its been disposed of in another country? They have their licences for England/Wales.

Thanks.

No, their EA license is enough.
If it isn't broken, that doesn't mean you can't improve it. (Do three negatives make a positive ?)

Is there any way I can confirm that my organisation has a hazardous waste license such as EA online register. I cannot find any docs at work.

Cheers .salut

it is quite straightforward

do a search on this webiste https://www.gov.uk/find-registered-waste-carrier to find out if your carriers area licenced

and this one https://www.gov.uk/guidance/access-the- ... nformation to make sure you are registered as a hazardous waste producer.

Tip of the day - Your waste carrier may offer to register on your behalf. Dont let them. Registration costs less than 20 quid per site and the company will try to charge you double if not treble that.
Grad IOSH - Tick
CMIOSH - one day! ../.

Don't forget that Wales has it's own Public Register for Natural Resources Wales (was EA Wales)

Access it through https://naturalresources.wales/how-we-r ... n/?lang=en" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hi, If moving waste from Scotland to England and Vice versa you will need cross border transfer.
