Windows 7 or 10?

Post by Stevie Johnno »

Hi folks what are your opinions on Widows 7 v Windows 10?
Until recently I used Vista and was quite happy in my retro ways but my Employer issued me with a laptop with 7 installed so I was dragged in to the 21st century kicking and screaming LOL. I do still use a Netbook with XP on it believe it or not?
I have recently bought my Mum a Desktop PC with Windows 10 installed but to be honest I find it a bit of a faff and IMHO too much "Eye Candy", just can't get to grips with it at all.
If I invest in a new Machine myself after Christmas which do you think I would be best going for?
I am quite tech savvy as I used to build my own Machines from bits of scrap Computers but as for programmes I'm next to useless..

I still use my trusty Windows 7, but I am going to upgrade to 10 after the turn of the year since checking out my friend's Windows 10.

Eventually, we will all have to upgrade anyway!

I will be interested to hear other's views though.

Like Stevie, we'd had Vista for ages, but it was getting slow and clunky just like the machines it was on, so although we brought the replacements with Win 7 installed, I upgraded all 3, my Desktop PC and both our laptops to 10 as soon as the free upgrade became available, as Win 7 was a bit of a stopgap measure IMHO. Win 10 is so much better even if the whole Apps thing takes a little getting used to when using a computer rather than a phone/tablet. .salut
