They do look really good, I'm really tempted! Part of the sales patter is thwat they are quite tough too, so might even let the littl'un have a play with it if I get one!
So when the whole world is safe..............what are we going to do then?

Look good, I've just had to return a 10 month old Kindle with screen lines on it blocking the first seven lines of text - can't be an odd fault as it's on their drop menu of common returns ??

So much for long lasting quality !

Didn't quibble about a new replacement though, so fair play to them !

Well I got the HD version on Friday - and am a teensy wee bit disappointed with it. It does what it says on the label, looks good and heavier than I thought so a fairly robust unit.
But - after being used to the Apple Iphone, the Apps available seem limited with the Kindle Fire - and I had to pay for an App to activate the camera which is only single sided - so you need to point the screen away from you to take any pictures. A bit hit or miss Im afraid.

For the price (£158) - its a cracking machine with great sound for my music, all my e books are on it, and the grand kids will love the games.
But if you are currently using iphone, then be aware you will not get the same Apps that are available on Apple so you may want to think about paying the extra for the Apple mini?

But if its a Christmas pressie for the kids - its a serious contender.

I already have the IPhone 4S and a Mac Book Pro so hoping for the Mini for a full set ;)

Have a kindle but no reading light so will get the Kindle App for the Mini if I get it :)

Not so sure about being that good though ;) Will need to ask the wife ;)
