Hi CAD
Welcome back
My biggest recommendations would be as follows:
1. Read and understand the questions, particularly with the action verbs.
2. Practice, practice and practice exam questions, so that you understand what NEBOSH requires to get the marks you need.
There are loads of examples on here and on our download section as well as on the NEBOSH website.
At least you have some knowledge of H&S prior to the NEBOSH Course (NCRQ etc) I had none and it terrified me at the time.
However you seem to be preparing yourself well and are in the right place to ask questions
Good luck with the course
Tips, advice oh and hello again....

Hi CAD
My question for your line manager is why would he put you on the certificate course when you are already studying a higher qualification? Surely he should be supporting you in your current studies rather than embarking on a lesser qualification.
However as you are having to go through with the charade I suggest you look at the NEBOSH guidance document on action verbs which will show you what is required when it comes to answering the questions. Read the question then read the question then read the question. One letter in the question can make all the difference (employee or employer). If you are stuck, ask for help!!

Thats just typical. Like I said if you are struggling just ask.CAD wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 1:31 pm Thanks for the tips both, appreciated.
In regards to my line manager putting me through NEBOSH, well there are two reasons. Firstly, I have been told that if I want to progress within this company I need to have NEBOSH and secondly I had been pushing for 12 months to get onto a NEBOSH course before signing up to NCRQ. I made the decision to self fund NCRQ (and I haven't told my employer that I am studying that), it was just sods law that they would agree to me attending the NEBOSH course within months of me deciding to go another route.

Good luck.
p.s. I wonder if NCRQ would offer you the Diploma as a replacement or part replacement once you have done the NEBOSH course?
