Question - HAWASA 1974

Post by ceebee-91 » Tue Jul 17, 2018 9:39 am

*Needing some help with the following Question. I know the answer for a) but a bit unsure of what exactly is needed for the answers in b) i) and ii).

During a routine visit a health and safety enforcement officer has discovered an unguarded lift shaft, left by a contractor, whilst working on an employer’s premises.

a) What powers does the enforcement officer have under HSWA?

b) This is looking for an outline answer as to what the employer and the contractor (repairing the lift) breaches may be under HSWA. Outline the breaches of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 by:

Hi Cee-bee and welcome along to the forums.

Where exactly did you get these questions from? State is no longer used by NEBOSH as an action verb so helping you with the answer isnt going to help you in the exam. If the questions are from your course provider, I would go back and ask them for up to date questions to give you the best chance of getting through your exams.

PS If they dont know point them in the direction of this document, which you may want to read as well.

Hi Cee-bee and another warm welcome from me.

Could I please draw your attention to the following link regarding NEBOSH Copyright breaches. http://www.healthandsafetytips.co.uk/fo ... 12&t=20609

As Paul has pointed out, these are very old NEBOSH questions and are copyright, thus my change in wording of your post. ./thumbsup..

Good luck with your study and have a look at Paul's link. ./thumbsup..
