NGC1 past papers.

Post by stephenl1985 »

Hi all,

I am currently studying from home for H&S (while working). I have passed my mock NGC1 exam :D with 49% (not great, I was hoping for more :? ).

Before I crack into my GC2/3 course materials, I was wondering has anyone seen any of this years past papers? Or has a connection been made between past papers i.e has the same questions come up every year? Are the questions the same every year? Has a frequency of command words been identified through past papers? ../. .compress

Thank you for reading & your time to reply. .salut

Hi Stephen

Welcome to the forums and good luck with the remainder of your study ../.

NEBOSH have past papers on their own website (as they are copyright) there is no analysis of repeat questions or command words. There are plenty other threads regarding that on this forum ;)

Hi Stephen and Welcome to HSfB.

Congratulations on your NGC1 pass. .cheers clapclap clapclap clapclap

Following on from Willpool's reply, this is the link to the NEBOSH website where you can find past papers. https://www.nebosh.org.uk/students/defa ... f=176&ct=2

We have a main site full of free downloads that you can access from the link above your post in the forums. https://www.healthandsafetytips.co.uk/

Within our downloads there are lots of helpful hints and tips regarding what is required by NEBOSH.

As Willpool also mentions, each exam has different types of questions, so no way of knowing which specifics to study. The Action Words always require the same type of response, (you can find this in our NEBOSH specific area of our downloads) so you really do have to know and understand how to write the Action Words replies.

These exams aren't like school exams where you can study specifics. The NEBOSH NGC is an overall introduction to H&S in the workplace.

Good luck with your study and look forward to hearing from you along the way. .salut

Hi all, I will be re-sitting my NG1 in April, looking for any advice or past papers to use as revision, missed my first one by 3 points, how they want the answers does mess my head up a bit.
Apparently I did not comment enough which cost me a huge amount of marks.

Thank you for the link, some good pointers on there.
Did my first one in class for one day a week for 13 weeks, tutor left the group more confused than when we went in on the first day, never really explained how to answer the NEBOSH way, ie, what we should be putting and how.
Thank you again.
