WHSWR 1992

Post by cyrusthevirus »

I read in my study book for Unit C that regarding a Safe Place of Work it does not include the definition of the term 'Workplace' to include ships and other means of transport. Does this mean that aircraft cabins and cockpits of commercial aircraft are excluded as well? Then what legislation protects employees?

Hi Cyrus

I think because of the complexity and generic dangerous nature of the aviation industry, seperate legislation is available.

This link will give you an idea of what is involved - there is a menu on the left which will pretty much tell you all you need to know
should you (like me) want to be enlightened.

P.S. i am now working on finding out about shipborne H&S (because i want to) ../.
