Good morning you fabulous peoples,

Can I go back to be, please....don't feel like I slept at all, and coffee is not kicking in...help

Weather looks fantastic here as well, pity Saturday was such a damp squib, lawn will have to wait now to get cut as finishing late all week again...
Did manage to get drenched at a garden centre choosing plants, which are happily in the ground now though, so just hope the cats leave them alone to grow!

Have a fantastic day what ever you get up to .salut

No sunshine here! Boohoo! Dull and overcast much like myself this morning. Need to give myself a shake. :)

Just a normal Monday for me with a couple of hours out before the deluge hits us.

Have a super Monday everyone. .salut

Afternoon all

Today we have a visitor on site - he is the Group Security Director; our French HS&E Director! He is the Monsieur who is my big BIG BIG boss - he reports directly and only to the Group CEO!

Just love this kind of visit when I have only been in post for 5 weeks!

This weekend was interesting to say the least. Last weekend I promised my grandson he could have a spinner so we went online and he picked one - flashing lights etc. Well it arrived on Friday and he loves it. On Saturday he was playing with it on the sofa and he dropped it onto the floor, it smashed into several pieces including 2 of the 3 flashing LED bits. He ran to mummy complaining (he is 5) and mummy walked back to the lounge to find my 11 month old granddaughter eating one of the bits. She got the LED bit out of her mouth and then searched for the little battery - nowhere to be found.

Panicking she rang me and we rushed to A&E at Leicester Royal. The staff were brilliant and following x-rays of her chest and tummy, my granddaughter was given the all clear. The consultant understood the concern and whilst the likelihood of a small battery sticking to the digestive tract was very slim we did the right thing. He was quite damming about these LED spinners, particularly "the cheap Chinese ones"

The battery was found at the other side of the room, 5 metres from where it was dropped, under the dining table.

have a great week

Good Call Dave.
Those little batteries can be a big issue with little children. It's not just the getting stuck, it's the potential for burning on the way through the body.
I wrapped a weak one (that had come out of something at home) in a small section of sliced ham.
This is what it was like after about an hour or so.

That's got to cause some damage in a child's intestines.

Good evening y'all :D

Quite an eventful time for people it seems do_a_penfold

My event is that I can see a giant thick black cloud ready to dump the contents of a small ocean onto Sunny Bo'ness. Other than that, not much going on here today.

I hope your Monday has been a nice start to your week. Dave, close shave for sure. I'll share your experiences and raise a bit of awareness.
