Your Download Contributions to HSfB

Post by Jack Kane » Tue Sep 09, 2008 1:38 pm

Hey Folks,

You may have at some stage made a valuable 'download' contribution to Health and Safety for Beginners (HSfB), either by providing us with various downloadable revision aids, training aids, articles or general information. Your contributions have helped thousands of people through their various studies and day-to-day working lives since 2004, and for that we thank you very much on their behalf.

I have sent out an email to all contributors today, but I realise that some of you have moved on and I may have old email addresses, hence the reason for this post here.

As you know, the world of occupational health and safety changes rapidly and frequently. HSfB recognises that sometimes materials on our site can become out of date and must either be removed from the site or updated to reflect changes in law, guidance, technology etc. For this reason we are setting up a team of discussion forum members who are willing to take part in a site wide audit of all information available on HSfB. Further information on this team can be found on our discussion forums here -

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4823" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The reason for this post is to give you the opportunity to review any and all of the downloads you have created and contributed to the site. You may also prefer to have your download removed from the site altogether, the choice is yours.

Alternatively, if you agree, the volunteer auditing team can review your materials for you and we will make any necessary changes and re-upload the materials to the site after all changes have been agreed by the team. Of course, any accreditation will remain intact, so if there is a link to your organisation it will remain when the item has been re-uploaded after review.

I would like to have the team begin auditing the materials week beginning 29 September 2008, so if you could get back to me before then that would be fantastic. If I do not hear from you by then, I will presume you are ok with the volunteer team reviewing your contributions and we will begin the task as described above.

If you need to contact me for any reason about this, please either pm me or email - hsfb[put your (put the at thingy in here) in here]healthandsafetytips.co.uk

Thank you very much for your help with this :D

John, Haven't replied to your maiI - busy........ I have no problem with the audit team looking at my stuff. In all honesty I just don't have time at the moment - if it's a specialist area like rail I will try to look at it for you.

Thanks to all those who replied to this request :D
